Portsmouth offers two contracts.

Nigerian forward Nwankwo Kanu and English goalkeeper David Jmaes both were offered contracts by Portsmouth on Wednesday.

Kanu is 33 years old, while Jmaes is 40. They will team with Herrmann Hreidarsson and Richardo Rocha for one final hurray at winning the title. Portsmouth also has young stars Lenny Sowah, Joel Ward and Marlon Pack. The team has already begun preparing for the 2010-2011 season.

In other news, Manchester United has announced they will be keeping goaltender Ben Foster for another season. Foster’s three year contract came to an end at the end of the season. Foster struggled in goal at times for Manchester United, but was Alex McLeish’s top choice to replace Joe Hart.

Jose Mourinho stated on Wednesday that he wanted to coach Real Madrid whether it be this season or next season. Mourinho is currently coaching Inter Milan, and they are set to play their biggest game in 38 years – in their first finals competition since 1972, against Bayern Munich Saturday in Madrid. The 47 year old coach is the favorite to replace Manuel Pellegrini, after the club finished second. Mourinho has won six national league titles in eight years.
